Barbara Bush, daughter of President Bush, has a crush on super swimmer Michael Phelps. Now we know why the president didn't head back to Washington when he got word that Russia had invaded Georgia; he was waiting for a chance to introduce his daughter to Phelps at the Olympics.

According to Xinhua, citing Globe Magazine, Barbara had a crush on Phelps long before that start of the Beijing Games.

"Barbara, 26, often talked about Phelps, 23, with her friends even before the Beijing Olympic Games," the Globe Magazine was quoted as saying. Somehow, she got her daddy to do something about it.

According to Globe, the president took Barbara to watch Phelps compete for gold in the freestyle. After the meet, the president went up to Phelps to congratulate him and "incidentally" introduce his daughter to him.

Now we also know the motivation behind Phelps swimming at such a record-breaking pace; he needs to be in tip-top shape to stay ahead of a certain someone.
