A 20-year-old Japanese man dressed in a Winnie the Pooh costume beat up and robbed two people because he didn't like the way they were staring at him, according to the police.
The facts in this case are even stranger than fiction. Apparently, the perpetrator and two of his friends, one dressed as a mouse and the other as a panther, were hanging out at a street corner when the perpetrator confronted the victims and, rhetorically, demanded what they were staring at. He then attacked the victims and robbed them of $160.
One may be inclined to ask why these three were dressed and walking about in the middle of the night in these costumes. The police said trio was wearing the costumes because they ran out of clean clothes. However, a more pertinent question may be why do they have these costumes in the first place.
