Bruce Lee's old house in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong is put up for sale and his fans are urging the government to buy it and turn it into a museum to honor the late movie and cultural icon.
The property, currently used as a hourly love motel, is owned by philanthropist Yu Pang-lin who is putting it up for sale in order to raise funds for victims of the Sichuan earthquake.
Land Power International Property Consultants Ltd. is handling the sale and the deadline for bids is this Wednesday, which has already passed as of this writing. The property is valued at about $13 million.
No word yet on whether or not the Hong Kong government made a bid for the property.
Update 7/2/2008:
Yu Pang-lin decided to shelved the sale of the property and may donate it to the Hong Kong so it may be converted into a museum, according to the South China Morning Post.
