A Japanese hotel manager paid top dollars for a bunch of grapes at a fruit auction. How much?
A record $910 for just 1.5 lb, or about $26 per grape, according to the Associated Press report.
This red grape is a new variety called the Ruby Roman that is said to be in development since 1994.
The flavor is "sweet but fresh at the same time, very well-balanced," according to an agricultural official.
