Not Even NASA Is Immune From Computer Viruses

ISS Guarding a computer from virus infection is apparently harder than it looks. Not even bright folks over at NASA are immune.

According to the BBC, NASA has confirmed the two laptops that were carried to the International Space Station in July were infected by the Gammima.AG virus. Luckily, the virus is not an attempt by a hostile nation or group to bring down the ISS. It is used to steal user names and passwords for popular online games, mostly of Asian origin, from infected computers and send them back to the remote attacker.

NASA is investigating how the laptops got infected, but also say it isn't the first time that computer viruses made it into space.

My guess is someone at NASA let their kids play Maple Story on those laptops.
