Police Confiscated 78-Year-Old Man's Walking Stick And Then Lost It

Clarkson Webb 78-Year-Old Clarkson Webb, a retired classics teacher, was walking along when England's finest confronted him saying his walking stick is an "offensive weapon" and must be confiscated.

They gave him a receipt for the stick so he could retrieve it later at the police station. However, when Webb went to the station for his stick, he was told they couldn't find it and still couldn't.

Luckily, he had a spare stick.

Apparently, Webb was walking toward a climate camp where some protesting had been going on. In their overzealous effort to protect the peace, the police had to made snap decisions about possible threats, even if it happened to be a stick wielded by a 78-year-old retired classics teacher.
