Retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Conner wants the youths of America to know more about their justice system. To that end, she got involved in an online game called "Our Courts," she told attendees of the Games For Change conference in New York.
When the project is completed sometime in September, the website ourcourts.org will have civic lessons for eager young'uns to explore.
"If we can capture just a little bit of that time to get them thinking about government and civic engagement rather than playing shoot-'em-up video games, that's a huge step in the right direction," she told the attendees.
Or she could have directed them to some episodes of "Law & Order."
