Star Wars: What You See Is What You'll Get

If George Lucas knows what'll happen after "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi" he's not sharing or isn't interested in telling that story.

"Whatever it is that happens afterward, that isn't the core 'Star Wars' story that I like to tell," he told the LA Times.

He continued, "I get asked all the time, 'What happens after "Return of the Jedi"?,' and there really is no answer for that. The movies were the story of Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker, and when Luke saves the galaxy and redeems his father, that's where that story ends."

So there you have it. If there's another "Star Wars" entry after the animated "Clone Wars" film, it probably won't be coming from Lucas. Fans will have to be satisfied with looking forward to the next special edition box set of the existing movies.

Given the criticism he received from the Anakin arc, that's probably not a bad thing.

"Clone Wars" will be come out in theaters August 15th in the States.
