Tom Cruise Saves U.S. Presidency; Stars In "28th Amendment"

Tom Cruise A recent survey released by the CNN/Opinion Research Corp. suggests that President Bush is the most unpopular president in modern American history with a 71 percent disapproval rating. Hopefully, one of the presidential hopeful can do a better job next year.

Not leaving things to chance, Tom Cruise has made it his duty to improve the image of the U.S. presidency. Moviehole has confirmed that he will star as President Ben Cahill in Phillip Noyce's "28th Amendment." In the movie, the president discovers a secret organization pulling the strings in the U.S. government and is now a target of theirs. He will match wits with a character played by Denzel Washington.

Cruise has been on a slump lately. His public image has taken a beating due to his association with Scientology and also his comments in regards to anti-depressants.

His last two movies didn't performed up to expectations ("M:I 3," "Lions for Lambs") and confidence is not high on "Valkyrie" either, having its release date pushed to February of next year.
