Fox says they own they movie rights to the "Watchmen" movie, not Warner Bros, and they'll have a chance to prove that in court on Jan 6, 2009.

According to Variety, Judge Gary Allen Feess will not issue an injunction to stop WB from releasing the movie as Fox requested, saying the case is "too complex to be resolved on an interim basis."

Feess does want the case to move quickly though and asks for the two parties to expedite the discovery phase.

"Watchmen" is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 6.
