World's Heaviest Man Loses Weight; To Tie The Knot

Manuel Uribe and Claudia Solis Manuel Uribe, 2006's Guinness Book of Records' heaviest man, has lost nearly half of his weight and will marry his girlfriend, Claudia Solis, on October 26.

In 2006, Uribe tipped the scale at 1,234 pounds, earning him a spot in the record books as the heaviest man alive. He had lost 551 pounds since then with the encouragement of his girlfriend, Solis.

"It will be a hefty wedding, on a large scale, but with a low-calorie banquet," Uribe told the AFP.
