The Japanese company Prop has developed an airbag system for the elderly to protect themselves from serious injury due to a fall.
The device, which wraps around the body and has a airbag behind the head and one around the hips, can sense when the wearer is falling and will inflate the airbags within 0.1 seconds.
The only problem? Like adult diapers, the elderly probably wouldn't want to be caught dead wearing one, if they have a choice.
A pig the size of a pony held Caroline Hayes, 63, of Australia hostage in her own home for 10 days.
The 176 pound pig, named Bruce, apparently was let loose by one of the neighbors and somehow entered Hayes' farm, demanding that he be fed. When no food was forthcoming, he got aggressive.
The pig was finally removed by rangers and put on stud duties.

Michele Cossey pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child after being arrested for buying her 14-year-old son guns and bomb-making material.
Police found three guns and a couple of home-made bombs in the boy's bedroom after being tipped off by the parents of one of his friends. That friend claimed her son tried to recruit him to carry out a "Columbine-style" attack on his school to get revenge on the people who bullied him over his weight.
Her son, Dillon Cossey, is sentenced to stay at a juvenile treatment facility until his 21st birthday.
As for Michele, she won't be sentenced until after a psychiatric evaluation.
